Klaus Börsch retires in 1998 and hands over the commercial management of the company to Matthias J. Hoffmann. Manfred Burckhardt, commercial member of the management board, is retiring after more than 50 years at HAZET. In the same year, Porsche celebrates a magnificent one-two victory at the 24 Hours of LeMans with the outstanding 911 GT1. As the advert said back then: "The nuts and bolts of victory with HAZET!"
One year later, Alfred Zerver dies on 20 August 2003 at the age of 92. For 60 years, he held a management position and was a Managing Partner at HAZET. Alongside the development of the "Tourist" tool set for the VW Beetle, Alfred Zerver's most outstanding achievement was certainly the development of the world's first fold-out tool trolley, the so-called HAZET "Assistent". This helped the HAZET brand achieve its international breakthrough.
At Automechanika, HAZET presents the torque wrench with built-in angle gauge eTAC, the HAZET tool box Cockpit and the completely redesigned fine-tooth reversible ratchets. The first HAZET app is made available to customers and users. In addition to the Tool Catalogue and Special Worldwide, the user is offered a convenient Dealer search service.
