When carrying out maintenance work on the brake, it is often necessary to reset the brake piston mechanically. To prevent damage caused by the piston jamming, HAZET has developed a new brake piston readjusting tool (HAZET No. 4971-4) for single-piston and multi-piston disc brake callipers – naturally ‘Made in Germany’.
Both floating and fixed calipers can be reset with this tool without damaging the boots or pistons. This useful tool from the Remscheid-based manufacturer of quality tools is suitable in its standard configuration for 1-, 2- and 4-piston brake callipers and, with the aid of the magnetic brake piston readjusting tool adapter plates (4971-3/2) to be used on 6-piston brake callipers as well. This makes the 4971-4 brake piston readjusting tool a universal tool for all common vehicle types without an integrated handbrake locking mechanism.
