HAZET: New torque screwdrivers for bits with a 1/4" hexagon shank

Screw connections often have to withstand continuous loads over long periods without the screws coming loose or uneven tightening torques causing stress in the material. Torque-controlled screw connections are therefore essential for precise and durable work, and are often specified to ensure certain functions.

For professional and high-precision work, HAZET has developed the perfect solutions in the form of the ¼” bit torque screwdrivers from the SYSTEME 6004CT range (with straight design) and the 6005CT range (with T-handle). Naturally, these are also manufactured ‘Made in Germany’ at HAZET in Remscheid.

The torque setting is extremely easy to read thanks to a large, clear digital display – a feature currently unique on the market. The ‘ratchet function’ with a free-running mechanism can be quickly switched between the left, right and locked positions. This allows the user to re-grip smoothly at any angle when loosening and tightening screw connections, especially in confined installation spaces. Thanks to a small 36° trigger angle with ergonomic trigger action and a clearly audible signal, the torque-precise tightening process is intuitive. The convenient ¼” inside hexagon bit holder secures the screwdriver bits firmly thanks to its quick-release mechanism, even without operating the sleeve. The screwdriver bit is removed by simply pulling the sleeve back and then ‘pushing it forwards’ again, thus ensuring a quick bit change with just one hand.

Torque settings can be precisely adjusted from 0.02 Nm to 10 Nm (depending on the series and model), with a tolerance of ±6 % of the set value. Lock symbols clearly indicate the current locking status.

The torque screwdrivers are calibrated in the ‘clockwise’ direction of rotation in accordance with DIN EN ISO 6789-2:2017. Screws can be loosened in the direction of actuation ‘left-hand’ without torque limitation, thus ensuring 100 per cent loosening power.

The ergonomic two-component handle components, made from fibre-glass reinforced plastic with softer grip zones, enable sustained, powerful yet fatigue-free work.

The release mechanism is made from high-alloy tool steel and offers excellent wear resistance. The overload clutch (‘slipper’) prevents the set torque from being exceeded.

All torque screwdrivers in the 6004CT and 6005CT series have a unique serial number and are supplied with a calibration certificate. At the HAZET Service Centre in Remscheid, these precision tools can be recalibrated and, if necessary, repaired to ensure long-term reliability. As an option, the Remscheid-based company offers the popular HAZET SP Service Package for simple and hassle-free recalibration.

Thanks to its straight, slim and compact design, the 6004CT model is particularly suitable for confined working spaces, whilst the 6005CT, with its T-handle, provides excellent leverage for higher torques.

The new screwdriver bits were immediately honoured with the prestigious ‘Eisen Innovation Award 2024’ for outstanding innovation at the International Hardware Fair in Cologne!
