Which two professional groups deal with teeth on a daily basis? As well as dentists, there are also the engineers in HAZET’s torque department. They work every day to further develop the high-precision tools that form one of the key areas of expertise for the Remscheid-based manufacturer of quality tools and workshop equipment.
At the dentist’s, however, it is unlikely that 58 teeth would be added. This is not the case with the new HAZET 6000-1CT series torque wrenches, which now feature ratchet wheels with 90 teeth – just like the tried-and-tested HiPer (High Performance) fine-tooth reversible ratchets! Logically speaking, fine-tooth ratchet wheels should be less durable than those with fewer teeth. However, HAZET’s engineers have managed to increase the number of teeth from 32 to 90, thereby significantly expanding the application range, particularly in confined spaces.
Whilst a standard torque wrench with a 32-teeth ratchet wheel must be moved back by at least 11.25° with each click to turn a bolt a further turn, the new SYSTEM 6000-1CT torque wrench, thanks to HiPer fine-tooth technology with its 90 teeth, requires an operating angle of just 4° in its reversible ratchet. This makes the HiPer torque wrench perfectly suited to working in confined installation spaces.
HAZET is now expanding its range of the well-known and tried-and-tested large torque wrenches with a ½” square drive for torques from 20 to 320 Nm, HAZET is now supplementing these with smaller precision torque wrenches featuring a ¼” square drive (up to 40 Nm) and a 3/8” square drive (up to 120 Nm).
This makes them the perfect universal torque wrenches wherever maximum precision is required, even at low torque levels, despite confined installation spaces.
